Mum (Tahira Jalal Uddin) was born on the 1st January 1956 in Wah Cantt Pakistan and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education. She taught students in Wah for 5 years before her marriage in 1983. After her marriage to dad (Jalal Uddin) she moved to the UK, and became a full time house wife.
Our father (Mohammad Jalal Uddin) passed away at the age of 36 while at his desk while at work, working for Motorola Inc. as an Electric Engineer in 1987, he is also buried here in Luton, England. At the time of our fathers death we children were aged Saimah 7, Saqib 5, Saadiah 3 and Saad 1 years old. My mother was pregnant at the time of my fathers passing; our youngest sister Sairah was born after my father passed away. All 5 of us children (3 daughters and 2 sons) were born here in the United Kingdom.
Mum was a teacher in Wah Cantt for 5 years prior to her marriage, on mum and her elder sisters funeral on the 2nd July 2005 Saturday, which was also held in Wah Cantt, her past students, now mostly married and with their own kids, were horrified to learn that she had been murdered. Many asked me questions surrounding her murder, I did not know who they were, as I had never met them before.
Mum Graduated BA B.Education
Dad (Jalal Uddin), Saimah, Mum (Tahira Jalal) and me (Saqib), London 1983
After our first mum Rakhilas death, dad went to Pakistan with the intention of getting married. He was a working man with two very young kids; initially he managed by taking time off work and then relying on his youngest sister and then friends to look after the kids. At the time, his elder brother Moid Uddins marriage was arranged and already set with Asma Moid, mums elder sister in Pakistan. Dads marriage to Asma Moids younger sister Tahira Khatoon was also arranged and both the marriages took place simultaneously. Moid and Jalal, two brothers from Model Town, Lahore got married to Asma and Tahira, two sisters from Basti, Wah Cantt.
At the time of her marriage dad already had 2 children from his previous marriage, my elder sister Saimah, 2 years old at the and me, a year old. Our first mum Rakhila Jalal Uddin from Birmingham had died of a sudden heart attack in February1983. I was 6 months old at the time of my first mothers death. I refer to Tahira Jalal Uddin as Mum, as I always have, as she was Mum albeit not my biological mother.

I, Saqib Jalal Uddin studied at Fast University Islamabad to become a Software Engineer, my Fast University campus entrance card expired on the 30-06-2005 and the very next day on the 01-07-2005 mum was murdered in Lahore, while I was in Islamabad giving a written interview test for what could have been my first ever job at Elixir Islamabad; I was 22 years old. My elder sister Ms. Saimah Jalal Uddin studied Software development as well. My younger sister Ms. Saadiah Jalal Uddin was a topper pretty much throughout her schooling and topped her FSc Pre-Med class in IMCB, F-6/2, and is still mentioned on the college scholars list. She was in temporary hostel boarding in Lahore preparing for her medical entry exams in July 2005, when my mother was murdered. Till this day I do not know how she managed to successfully attain the marks for admission into medical school, as everyone was traumatized and psychologically unstable after the sole head of the family was murdered, and her exams were imminent. Saadiah stayed back in Pakistan, in a hostel in Islamabad while the rest of us moved back to the UK, completing her 4 year degree and 1 year house job in emotionally tumultuous circumstances as now the double murder case had started in Lahore and the rest of us siblings were now away in the UK. She became a dentist.
Saimah with Saad, few months after dads death
My young brother Saad Jalal Uddin was born with learning difficulties and took up most of my mothers time. In 1992 my mother Mrs. Tahira Jalal Uddin moved us all to Islamabad, Pakistan, as she wanted all us children to know and learn about our cultural and religious roots. This was extremely important to her, as she was a Pakistani teacher before her marriage.
